Government schools in the locality were provided with funds to upgrade the infrastructure and education aids. Both government and Aided schools were given computers and state of the art labs. Some of the schools which were brought under this scheme are Government LP school, Panayikulam, KEM High School, Alangad, SNP School, Koduvazhanga. Etc. The Ezhikkara Government School was given Higher Secondary classes. 10 Lakh was sanctioned from the MLA fun d for the construction of a new building of the school.
